Ingredients:
- 4 pork chops, 1/2 inch thick and trimmed
- Vegetable oil for browning
- 1 med. onion, sliced and separated into rings
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3 cups drained sauerkraut
- 3/4 cup apple juice
- 1 1/2 tsp. caraway seed
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 cup sliced tart apples
Preparation:
Brown pork chops; set aside. Place in a slow cooker half of onion rings, garlic powder, sauerkraut, apple juice, caraway seed, salt, thyme and pepper. Place remaining half of ingredients on top of chops; top with apple slices. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 7 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.Serves 4.
