Baked Chicken with Pasta

Chicken casserole with pasta, sour cream and bacon, along with cream of mushroom soup and other seasonings.

Ingredients:

  • 3 pounds chicken parts
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 ounces macaroni or other pasta, cooked, hot
  • minced parsley for garnish, optional

Preparation:

Arrange chicken, skin-side up, in a 13 X 9 X 2 - inch baking pan. Cut bacon in 2-inch lengths; place over chicken. Bake at 350°, uncovered, for 45 minutes; pour off excess grease.

Combine soup and sour cream; pour over chicken. Continue baking for another 30 minutes. Transfer chicken pieces to a serving dish and mix macaroni with the mushroom-sour cream sauce. Arrange on dish with chicken. Garnish with parsley.
Serves 6.
