Easy Stewed Green Beans and Tomatoes

Use fresh or frozen green beans in this easy recipe.

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 large can (28 ounces) stewed tomatoes, drained and chopped
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen green beans
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley

Preparation:

Melt butter in a skillet; add onion, celery and green pepper. Sauté for about 3 minutes; add garlic, tomatoes, beans and parsley. Cover and cook for about 15 minutes, or until beans are tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serves 4.
