Cook Time: 35 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup coarse graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup chopped dates
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 cup sugar
Preparation:
Mix together first six ingredients until well blended. Beat egg whites until foamy; add sugar a tablespoon or two at a time, beating well after each addition. Continue beating until stiff peaks form. Fold first mixture into the whites, blending well. Pour into an 8-inch greased pie plate; bake at 325° for 35 minutes. Delicious with ice cream, whipped topping, or whipped cream.Serves 6 to 8.
